In 2006 a mother Bald Eagle decides to nest above one of our cabins. Eagles can be seen feeding on Salmon and water fowl around the lodge.

A relative of the weasel family, the wolverine is more cunning than ferocious. An adult can weigh up to 45lbs and rule a 240 square mile domain, traveling 40 miles a day. Despite public opinion, a wolverine would much rather scavange on frozen remains than make a kill.

A ptarigan uses its camo to hide in the snow from predators. As the snow melts, he will turn brown to stay hidden.
